QuickSilver Mail Order
‘Shreds and Patches’ Magazine Autumn/Winter 2008/2009
“Subtitled ‘100 years of comic song’, this masterful CD is probably the best collation of comedy songs I have come across, and the performance standard is almost unbelievably high.
The combination of these talents gives us a duo who sound confidently competent with material from sources as divergent as Jake Thackray and Gilbert & Sullivan.
The whole CD is a tour  de force by two of the most talented performers in the kingdom. If you’re feeling a bit depressed by the truly awful summer we’ve just suffered, I can guarantee this will cheer you up.”

PLENTY
QuickSilver’s debut album released in 2003 contains  12 tracks in an eclectic mix of material including 8 original songs by Grant.
Mardles’ Magazine Suffolk October 2003
“I am a great fan of Hilary Spencer, as a solo artiste or as a member of Artisan or The Mrs Ackroyd Band. She is a simply wonderful singer. Here, in QuickSilver, she is joined by the incredibly talented guitarist and songwriter Grant Baynham, who wrote many of the songs on this album. Their performance seems effortless, an indication of just how good they are, whether singing their own material, blues, Piaf or Jake Thackray songs. Whatever the style, they manage it with ease. Grant even includes his guitar tunings in the sleeve notes.  Don’t miss them if you have the chance to hear them.”
PROMISE. . .
Released in 2005, QuickSilver’s second CD contains 13 tracks, 6 of which are by Grant including the title track “Promise Tonight”
‘Shreds and Patches’ Magazine Autumn/Winter 2005/2006
Here we have several of Grant Baynham’s own compositions: a sort of mock music hall piece introducing themselves as performers, plus wry and amusing ditties on such topics as the English weather  and being ‘on a promise’.
The songs written by others are a splendid selection: W.C. Handy’s “St Louis Blues”, Flanders and Swann’s “Misalliance”, William Barnes’ “Linden Lea”, Fats Waller’s “Ain’t Misbehavin’” and a Jake Thackray classic “The Kiss”.
QuickSilver have no problem handling such a varied collection. Hilary’s vocals\ adapt to suit the different styles and moods, just as Grant’s guitar slips from pseudo-Django through blues to the thoughtful and introspective. A satisfying and pleasing album.”
MAKE ‘EM LAUGH!
Released in July 2007 this is a live recording taken from QuickSilver’s performance at the Heron Theatre, Beetham, Cumbria in May of the same year.
“What really irritates me about ‘Plenty’ is the absurd mastery of whatever genre these two choose to take on....In the hands of such an extraordinarily dexterous guitarist as Grant Baynham and the effortless tonsils of Hilary Spencer you have the answer to the question But what is it?  And the answer is Who cares when it sounds this good?   Nick Barraclough BBC Radio 2
